Searching For New Trusted Authors
Posted 13 May 2012 - 09:21 PM
For a very limited time only, we are extending our authors a unique, never-before-tried-on-the-site opportunity to submit your account for consideration to receive Trusted Author status. This is a trial run only and the requirements are strict. BUT, if you feel your account is up for it, we are excited to have you throw your name in the ring.
First: Read This Blog . It covers all the basics on what being a Trusted Author means.
Once you’ve read that, you may submit your account for consideration IF AND ONLY IF you meet the following requirements (ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS):
- been a member on the archives for at least 9 months
- have submitted at least 15 chapters to the queue (with at least 10 still currently visible under your account page)
- have posted at least 15 consecutive chapters without rejection (the ONLY exception being for one or two minor formatting/image rejections)
- have never had an account suspended and/or trusted author status removed
- have posted at least one chapter since April 1, 2012 (chapters currently in the queue DO NOT COUNT)
- can provide a list of ALL the archive accounts you’ve ever used (even if you no longer use some of them)
If you meet ALL of the above requirements, you may PM me with a link to your archive account(s) with the following information:
Primary Penname (including link):
List of Alternate/Past Archive Accounts:
We will accept requests from the first 30 authors who submit their names. We will post again here when that limit has been reached.
PLEASE NOTE: Submitting your account for consideration (even if it meets all of the above) is NOT a guarantee that you will be granted TA status. It only means a member of staff will review your account. No feedback will be provided. You will know if you've been granted Trusted Author status if you receive a message on the archives.
It also means A MEMBER OF STAFF WILL REVIEW YOUR ACCOUNT. And we can see EVERYTHING. We can see every chapter you ever had rejected, even if you deleted it and/or resubmitted it. We can see if you’ve ever been suspended, warned, or posted a nasty review. We can see what other accounts you’ve used in the past and what rejections you may have received on them. We will also be reading your stories. All of them. And that means we may find things that were missed in the queue. If your account isn’t in tip-top shape and you bring it to our attention, you may find yourself in trouble instead of being promoted. So be warned. Don’t waste our time or yours. Only submit your name if you really qualify for consideration.
Finally, while we understand that many of you may not meet all the above requirements right now, please keep in mind that it doesn’t mean you won’t ever receive TA status. How and why we promote authors to Trusted has not changed. This is just a trial run at speeding up the process for some very rule-abiding members who might have slipped below the radar.
If you have any questions, please PM any of the Senior Staff. DO NOT post account information in public areas of the site.

Again, I would also just like to remind everyone that this does not mean the staff are done looking for new Trusted Authors. We are just done accepting requests for account reviews. Promoting TAs is an ongoing process and to keep your account "in consideration," all you have to do is keep submitting new chapters that are compliant with the Site Rules.
To those who submitted their accounts, even if you were not bumped this month, it doesn't mean you won't ever be bumped. Some of you are very close and we will be keeping a good eye on your accounts.
To those who didn't meet the minimum requirements above, this doesn't mean you might not be "due" a promotion soon. There is no science to becoming a TA. I'd again refer you to the blog linked to above for information on how to put your best foot forward.
And, of course...Congratulations To Our New Trusted Authors!
