So I know I've already said thank you, but I want to say it again. I tend to get close to/exceed the character limit in reviews, and this has made my life as a reviewer about a million times easier.

So I think it's wonderful that we now have a counter for the character limit in reviews, and Jay, I really appreciate you adding that feature However, for some reason, it doesn't seem to work for me. My counter will continue to say "6000 remaining" even after I've started writing the review. (For reference, I use Firefox on a MacBook.) I didn't worry about it at first, but I've found my reviews getting longer and longer lately, especially for requests, and I'd like to figure out why it's not working for me so I can better monitor my review length. Any ideas?

I wonder if this has something to do with Firefox. I was using Firefox while writing some reviews earlier today, and I noticed the counter was "stuck" too. After reading your post here, I just tried with Internet Explorer, and it was working fine. Hopefully we can get this fixed when someone (read: Jay, probably) has some time to look into it.

EDIT: Be sure to try clearing your cache too.

I think it must be something with Firefox - a friend suggested I try Safari, and that seems to work. Makes me wish I didn't prefer Firefox!

Clearing the relevant cookies and cache in Firefox doesn't help either.

I've been wondering when that nifty little thing got there! As someone who constantly has to finish reviews in pm's (I have issues with brevity), I'd like to say thank you. It really helped me see how much space I had left to yap. You're the man, Jay.
