I have a question regarding suicide. I have a one-shot which alludes to it happening, but doesn't directly say it did. Obviously I would rate the story M, and give it Strong Violence and Sensitive Topic/Issue/Theme on the story info, but I was wondering whether it would be allowed, and if so would it be best to include a note in the story description that it did?
Thank you ![]()
I'm a little confused on what you're asking about. With the proper warnings and ratings (which you have), you can reference or allude to suicide, as long as it isn't overly graphic or glorifying in nature. If you're worried about your story summary, feel free to PM it over to me and I'll be happy to take a look

I'm new to the site and just posted my first story chapter, but I forgot to put in a disclaimer. Should I edit the chapter to put one in, and what should it have in it? Just that all characters and places from Harry Potter belong to JKR?
Thanks =)
First off, welcome to the site. We're glad to have you
Including a disclaimer for general Harry Potter-related content isn't required. We have a blanket disclaimer at the bottom of the screen on every page of the archives that credits the material to JKR and/or other relevant parties. If, however, you are using specific quotes from the books or movies, or including any content (characters, quotes, lyrics, etc.) that belong to someone other than JKR or WB, you will need to include a disclaimer. You can look here for more about the type of citations we require on the site. a_wiz

Hey there!
Does a kiss on the cheek need a "Scenes of a Mild Sexual Nature" warning? It's only a little kiss on the cheek but it is meant to be a bit romantic, as it's after a date.
Thank you! ![]()
You're probably fine without it. BUT if it's more than a passing reference (the character spends a lot of time thinking/talking about it afterward, for example), I'd go ahead and include it. a_wiz

"________, __________, rock and roll" is a common phrase - (hopefully you can fill in the blanks!), I'm just wondering if the first two words of the phrase are acceptable for use in a summary? Are they considered 12+ acceptable or not? Just checking! Thank you so much ![]()
Substance USE is what requires the 15+ rating, so simple using the word "drug" or "alcohol" doesn't automatically make something non-12+. Same with the word "sex." Otherwise our own warning system wouldn't be 12+. Assuming the rest of your summary is 12+, the common phrase you're referring to is fine a_wiz

I have a slightly odd question! Would a relationship between a human and a centaur count as bestiality? To be specific, it's only mentioned in passing, but it is mentioned that they have a child. Thanks ![]()

No human/centaur relationships, please. I know an argument can be made regarding consent, but in a world with magic, that's opening up a can of worms I'd prefer not to go down :)
