I'm writing an essay for my English class about asking a person I've always dreamed of meeting one question.

I chose JK Rowling, but I'm having trouble deciding what my one question should be, so I've come here for help.

If you had the opportunity to ask JK Rowling one question (and only one!) what would it be?

I'd ask her if she's ever read fanfiction, and if so, what she thinks of it.

I think I would ask her if she would mind telling me her story.
I heard it partially on Oprah when she was on there, but I think it'd be so much crazier to hear it straight from her without all of the cameras watching and what not

I agree, I'd love to hear her story in person And the fan fiction question would be very interesting, too!

She has read fanfiction i think, because i read it on her website, but i don't know if she's read any recent ones.

I would ask her what dudley saw when he was attacked by the dementor or of any possible endings or couples that she considered.

Her story would be great! But I don't think that it would be mine.

If I could ask her one question, and she had to answer, I would ask her the story of the Marauders and Lily.
I would love to know more about their time at Hogwarts, how Lily and James got together, and what happened in between Hogwarts and their deaths.

But if that doesn't really count as a question, I'll say another one as well.

I think I would ask her about animagus(es? or animagi?), how she came up with the animagus(es?) for every person, and if I can add a little extra on the end, what would hers be?

How on Earth did Fred and George predict the results of the Quidditch World Cup?

I always thought it was just the three of them...I mean, there can't be five people in the boy/girl dorms in every house and year. Then the sorting hat would be like 'your a ravenclaw, but I already have 5 of them, so your in gryffindor'.

I would ask if she wishes she could go back and change something in the books.

Did Dumbledore really know that Harry would survive? Does she (and does Dumbledore) believe that Dumbledore was morally justified in the way he manipulated Harry and Snape? It just all always seemed a bit too 'greater good' for my liking.

Especially the Animagus one and how Fred and George predicted the results of the Quidditch World Cup.
