Requested by x0xcaitlinx0x.

Please remember this ship is only compliant with the ToS if Tom Riddle is no longer a student at Hogwarts and is over the age of 18 or time travel is involved.

Woah.
Wouldn't that just be a the upset of the decade.
Were Tom Riddle even capable of love, this would a new light to his fear and passion to destroy Dumbledore.
This is an intriguing idea.

Is this the reincarnation of Dumbledore/Grindelwald? laugh.gif

Honestly, the only way I could see this happening is because Dumbledore was so distraught over Grindelwald that he turned to Tom for comfort, which I doubt would EVER happen. I mean, he suspected Tom to be a bad seed from the time he met him, at the young age of eleven, and I find it slightly sick and wrong that he would be attracted to an eleven-year-old. Even outside Hogwarts, Dumbledore knew what Riddle was like because he watched him grow up over seven years, and I think he got over the 'attracted-to-darkness' thing over fifty years before. I don't know, we're just taking things a little too far here.

I agree with Bella. Just because Dumbledore fell for one dark wizard doesn't mean he falls for all of them! rotflol.gif

The age gap is a big deal. I know when people are adults age gaps aren't as important, but when the older person has known the younger once since childhood, and served as a teacher to him, it's unnatural.

I was just curious to see what other people thought of this, I've never seen a fic like this and I have no idea how it would ever work. tongue.gif If it ever did work it would have to be Tom going back in time when Dumbledore was young, or Dumbledore coming forward in time to when Tom was young. It could actually be pretty entertaining, Albus coming forward to Tom's time, Professore Dumbledore knowing who he is, having to just sit back and watch as his younger self falls for an evil student of his. I'd like to read something like this, though I don't see anyone being able to write it properly. Maybe one of the talented hpff writers wink.gif but I don't think anyone is about to try.

this one is kind of yucky.gif for me. I mean the guy who can't love and his former teacher? not the best thoughts. but I must say the whole idea of it is kinda interesting idea even if it is sorta yucky.gif (not who the people are the whole Bad guy goood Guy of it all)

probably one of the most unlikely ships in existence but theres so much intrigue with it too. I think this would be a very interesting fic to write however impossible it may seem. It would take a fair deal of imagination on the writers part to make it seem even a little bit plausible but im sure it can be done.

The mere thought of this makes me tremble. I can't see this happening at all. Teacher and student? I think that's taking it a little too far...

okay.....no! yucky.gif

this ship is pushing it, and it's borderline insanity canon-wise...
even in fanfics, i would not be a fan of this
i'd prefer dumbledore to stick with men his own age.... [but i always imagined him as a happy loner type of guy]

Do I think it likely? No.

Do I think it could be possible? Of course! I mean, this is fan fiction, and you can do almost anything!

It would be a bit awkward, but it could happen.

I think that inspite of everything, Dumbledore could, even if briefly, see what he saw in Grindelwald in Tom Riddle. I don't think that this pairing could every last, because Dumbledore would realize that they could never be together, and that it was a similar situation as was with Grindelwauld. I think on Riddle's end it would have been more in love with Dumbledore's power and using that more than actual love for Dumbledore.

Ha! This ship would make for a great comedy. The Dumbledore Riddle Musical Madness! No, in all honestly, I would have to say no, but like I said earlier, this would be an amazing spoof fanfic.

agreed!

It could make for a good comedy story though, since this ship made me laugh so much. There's just no way.

This would spark a lot of controversy...

Hmm. I would probably read this just to explore the concept. It sounds rather intriguing, even though I am not a fan of slash.
