Hey guys! So, after a year on HPFF, I finally decided I should get a MTA page. So, get posting! Thanks for coming! Posted Image

Oh, and I will be updating more often. As in, I won't just stop posting for almost a year. Posted Image

Hi, Kate --

I've never read your work (do you have a link to your author page?), but I saw that you have a new MTA topic and wanted to ask you some first questions! (That and possibly the fact that your icon is ADORABLE.)

1. What's your favourite era to write?
2. Your username has a Quidditch reference! Do you like to write about Quidditch? Why would you be a Keeper?
3. Are you one of those writers who can hardly be torn away from their computer screens, or do you have to encourage/motivate/force yourself to write? (Even though I love writing, I am often of the forcing-myself variety.)
4. Least favourite thing(s) to read in a fanfic? Ships, characters, plots, etc.? Your own personal fic-prejudices!

Okay, work that reply button!

Yaay, someone actually responded to this! I've been on hiatus for so long that I didn't think anyone would even know I was alive. Posted Image

Here's my page: http://harrypotterfa...?showuid=155911 (12+)
It's been a while since I posted anything, so my writing is much better now. I was rereading some of my old stuff the other day and realized how bad I was last year. Posted Image But I did finish a new New Year's one shot last night, so I'll be submitting that once the queue is open again. It's a lot better than my other stories.

On to the questions:

1. I don't really have a favorite era to write, it all depends on what story I'm working on. But, if I had to choose, it would probably be either Hogwarts or Next Generation. Time travel is actually a favorite of mine, it's fun to write (*cough* think about writing, but never do *cough*) about the reactions. My novella is about Harry and Ginny going back to the Marauders. Once I actually finish it, the whole story is going to go through a huge edit, so the beginning won't suck then. Posted Image
2. I actually only chose it because of the alliteration (sp?). Posted Image But I am fascinated by Quidditch, I would definitely have played it if I was witch. I'm horrible at muggle sports, so the idea of something so different intrigues. I think I would've been a Keeper because it doesn't require as much rigor as the other positions. I'd be too weak to be a beater, to slow to be a seeker, and I have horrible aim, so chasing is out. But if I trained hard enough, I would probably have some pretty good reflexes. Well, that was an incredible long explanation for an incredibly simple question. Why do I always end up doing that ...?

3. I really have to force myself to write. It's why I rarely update. I'm a huge procrastinator (I should be doing homework right now) and I always tell myself I either have to check my email/facebook or that I have more time. It's a horrible habit. More like a curse, actually. But my New Year's resolution is to try and write even a few words of non-homework every day, so I'll try to keep up with that. I'm also going to attempy NaNoWriMo this year, so I'm kind of in training. I think the worst part is that I always have at least one plot floating around in my mind, but I never even right it down. I just dwell on it long enough until I know I'll remember it. I really need to stop doing that. Posted Image

4. Hmm ... Well, bad grammar for one thing, but I think most people here hate that. I'd have to see those really badly written OCs, you know? I don't mind them most of the time, but it's just that one person that throws off that whole story. Oh, and slash. I'm in no way a homophobe, but I just can't read it. I'm mostly a canon shipper, so I guess part of it comes from that. It's just a little pet peeve of mine.

Thanks so much for being the first to post! I love meeting new people. Posted Image Happy New Year!
